I knew three female Stuarts growing up in non-NOVA VA. I like it for either, but maybe more for a girl.

Our next door neighbor has a daughter named Campbell and a son named Lane. Often people can't remember which name goes w/ the girl and which goes w/ the boy.

I guess this won't really be a thing anymore soon when Gen Z are the parents naming their kids all names that are gender neutral/unisex. I think it happens more w/ girls being given "boy" names than the other way around. My daughter's preschool is full of names like this: a girl Charlie, a girl Ryan, a boy Riley, a girl Emerson, a boy Reese.

I don't think there are any names that I'd use for either sex. That is, there are several unisex names that I like, but I like them for a girl or a boy but not for both.

Maybe the only one is Jo/Joe, but I'm not sure that counts because I would name the girl Josephine and call her Jo (definitely no "e") and the boy Joseph and call him Joe (definitely with an "e"). But these aren't my favorites and probably wouldn't be on my short list.

There is a woman surgeon at my local hospital, Dr. Brady Lastname. I love it.

Dp pp's opinion matters just as much as yours. And I agree Evelyn is no longer "neutral"

I mean I'm the person who brought it up and I mentioned that I really only like it as a girl's name but it is pretty gender neutral imo. I don't think I've ever met a real person with the name but famous/fictional people seem pretty equally split between genders. I'm not going to police any parent in the US in 2022 who thinks it's a cute boy name -- as mentioned above, I think Ashley is a cute boy name but I don't really like it for girls.

I kind of like unisex names. My favorites are Morgan and Quinn.
