What does your child do between 9pm and 10pm?
Middle schoolers RARELY go to bed at 9pm. The amount of messages that comes through my daughters devices (plugged downstairs) from 9pm to midnight is unbelievable.
Agree. Our kids have to leave them (and all electronic devices) plugged in downstairs in the kitchen.
My 8th grader's phone is lighting up until midnight (and sometimes beyond) on school nights. IT's insane! I'm guessing the parents don't know their kids are up. The bus comes at 7:05am.

It is still light outside, kids playing/biking, and your middle schoolers are going to bed?!?! Gotta be trolls.
Very few people are saying anything in the 8pm hour. Standard answer seems to be 9 to 9:30.
As for my own kid, I offered 9 to 9:15pm and that's school nights. In the summer and on weekends, depends what else is going on but I try not to let it go past 10:30/11 just because my particular kid doesn't sleep in much.
No, most are saying between 8-9pm for their middle schoolers.
