You are implying derision of your cousins because they believe they are immune to covid after having it twice (which, frankly, they probably are), and yet here you are, asking other people that you don't even know what you should think and do in this situation.
Everyone is on their own with this OP. Do whatever you want to. No one cares anymore.

I am vaccinated but I honestly think we need to just let it all go.
Our next threat is a possible nuclear strike or a ww3. Let’s move on from covid.
And yes I would decline too!

For low risk vaccinated and boosted people I agree though I don’t have room in my life for stupid anymore and anti vaxxers are the pinnacle of stupid. For high risk which includes the elderly yeah they need to stay away from the unvaccinated, especially in a prolonged situation like dining together where the at risk person would not have a mask.
Anonymous wrote:Yes, of course. The circus is over. Now accept the fact that covid will be around for ever. If you believe in vaccine and are vaccinated what are you worry about? You are supposed to be protected, right?
Anonymous wrote:At this point, yes. A month ago my answer would have been absolutely not.

Exactly. And they also pretend not to understand that an elderly person, like OP s mom -- even one who is vaxxed and boosted -- can still get very sick and even die from COVID. So, in response to the cousin's question, "Are we still a threat?", I would respond, "Yes, you are still a threat. Have a nice mother's day and enjoy being a selfish liar."
But that's a different argument. If an elderly person is high risk, they shouldn't be around vaxxed or unvaxxed. The vaccination doesn't prevent infection. We've known this for a while now, though I'm not sure when we were officially allowed to say it.
