Swimming has cuts at our school. More kids swim club than there is lane space for the school swim team. I don't think a summer only swimmer has much chance unless they are a really good athelete

Our school's swim team is incredibly competitive. I believe 100+ kids tried out for 70 spots.
Thats not incredibly competitive.
Some sports have 200 kids trying out for 15 or 20 spots on a team.

The best thing to do is to go to the school website, find the athletic directors email and send a message asking that question. They are really the only ones who know.

Meanwhile interest in crew surged and it became a cut sport.
