My husband and I went on our first date at a Ramadan party on a party boat in a Muslim country.

So prom is probably ok.

Then you wouldn’t be going to an unchaperoned dancing event with lots of members of the opposite sex.

A lot of people here act more muslim than muslims where they come from. Like born-again christians. They all need to take a chill pill.


Generally, they either chill after a few years or give up the deen altogether.

Our school (a private) just changed the day off for Eid this year from 5/3 to 5/2 a few weeks ago, due to a change in the lunar schedule I guess.


Your private school doesn't have senior classes of 500-700 kids.

It is not so difficult to change dates for a tiny private school.

I work for a youth org. We avoid daytime food-centered events during Ramadan and make sure that there is food available for evening meetings and events that will end after sunset. That seems to work for our students and families.
