If our Big-3 school accepted antigen tests, that would be wonderful. But it doesn't. That's the whole point. You need to get a PCR test to return.

Sounds like overkill to require PCR given current phase of pandemic. Yes, at other phase, of course.

Right. If someone wants to take their kids with runny nose to school within the same day, $175 seems to be a fair cost. Otherwise they can just do the $75 test with 16 hr turnaround while waiting for their kids' symptoms to disappear. The school is already being nice to not require tests for strep or flu.


Maybe next year the school can simply raise the tuition by 1500 and offer free off-campus tests -- then nobody will complain.

Are you talking about the take home PCRs from the library/community centers? I always get my results back the next day.

We use the Chevy Chase Library drop off and it takes 3 days.
