I coach her sports team

Some occasional shopping days
My husband does a lot of legos and video games with her

My mom used to take me to the mall and walk around with me. Most of the time we just window-shopped because we didn't have a lot of money or occasionally we'd buy something on really deep discount. In my self-absorbed teen way, I thought she liked shopping but she really didn't, I did and she just wanted to spend time with me while I obsessed over earrings or scrunchies or some other teeny thing. She's gone now. Thanks mom.
I'd do the same with my DD but malls aren't really a big things where we are and my DD isn't into shopping (yet). So far the bonding thing we've gotten into is listening to music together. She'll play me songs she likes and I'll show her songs I think she might like -- "oldies" but she occasionally likes something.

Subject: What were your bonding activities with your parents growing up?
My mom didn't really do things with me or engage with me consistently. However, my father would always invite me to accompany him on errands on Saturdays or Sundays. We'd go to the grocery store and to the bakery and to his favorite Middle Eastern market or to get his watch fixed - just random things but I loved spending that time.
OP - I had a dream about this too. In my dream I'm in the car and the window was down and I could hear my father's voice. Many fond memories.
