It was very tersely phrased with some mean, passive aggressive language directed at our DC. They went out of their way to flip us the bird. It was unnecessary.
We applied because we know several families that send their children there, and they all had nice things to say about the school. Our family was kind, open, and receptive throughout the entire application process. We could tell during the parent interview that it was not a good match. The HOS was just short of openly hostile. It was a bit baffling.
I post this as a reminder to those pressing refresh on A web browser today to keep in mind that not everyone has the same options, financially or socially, for their children’s education. It may seem unfair to simply get a note on a website that your DC did not get accepted, but some of us don’t even get that level of courtesy.
Some of us are stuck with the “take it or leave it” public schools or applying to smaller institutions that yield what little power their position grants them with outright cruelty.
It was Dominion Christian School in Oakton.

Took a few minutes to remember mail hasn't come yet. And we didn't apply to Beauvoir.

That’s good to know. I guess if they don’t send you anything, it’s a no go?
That's what I'm assuming. Tough year.
Mailman just came and didn’t bring us anything from SAES.
Do you live in MoCo? May take longer to get to VA.
