Only a vague email saying they were “reviewing” and the indoor and outdoor mandate still stands for now. Sigh.

I find it maddening. I am 100% fine waiting for the school to make plans for removing masks at the pace they set. I find these people so obnoxious. Why do they feel like they should be in charge of what the school does? Being in a community means sometimes you have to do what’s best for the whole community, not just you and your child. And clearly they are just baiting people to respond so they can argue and tell them why they are wrong.
I’m just glad the school doesn’t cater to these loudmouths.
What do the majority of the parents on listserv want?
Who knows? Most aren’t going to weigh in via a listserve. About 8 people have responded, some many times. 6 in favor of dropping masks outside and 2 against.
I find it odd that people are lumping recess in with arrival and dismissal. But it’s never about compromise with these people. They want it all gone, all mitigation efforts.
But mostly I find the inflated sense of power odd.

I assume (hope) that will be dropping the outdoor masking. But some of our habitual worry wort parents on the list serve are pre-emptively freaking out about that. It's insanity.
I have a feeling we're at the same school and it's exhausting.
You're way ahead of my school!

+1. I feel like they have followed the science pretty well so far and that should continue. Some parents are going to worry but we should embrace things finally looking up while we can.
