Who knows? Most aren’t going to weigh in via a listserve. About 8 people have responded, some many times. 6 in favor of dropping masks outside and 2 against.

I find it odd that people are lumping recess in with arrival and dismissal. But it’s never about compromise with these people. They want it all gone, all mitigation efforts.

But mostly I find the inflated sense of power odd.

I didn't get that from their responses. I mean, they very well might, but no one has said anything about dropping everything. It's just about outdoor masking (because it's absurd that it is still happening).

It really is a tempest in teapot because the school will probably drop outdoor masking in like a week or two, if it's anything like every other change this year. They get the DCPS guidance, evaluate it a bit, go over the new plans with teachers and staff, and then tell everyone "aight, here we go."

Basically, people need hobbies.

Impossible to know. There are family members for more than 500 students on the listserv. Different viewpoints in the current discussion

Can others chime in on the current length of quarantine and when it's required? I.e., if a sibling positive? If unvaccinated only regardless of someone at home being positive? Whatever it is?

I believe I too am on this listserv and was giggling all weekend watching each reply get increasingly more petty and conciliatory at the same time. It's amazing. Put down the phone and go play with the kids you're so tirelessly advocating for!

+1. I feel like they have followed the science pretty well so far and that should continue. Some parents are going to worry but we should embrace things finally looking up while we can.

yeah, to be clear, the listserv back and forth is what was exhausting to me. I'm fine waiting on the school to go through its decision making process, especially since they told us they were doing so.
