Exact reason I snagged dh when we were 20. I didn't want any other B ruining him. 30 years later, he's still wonderful.

DH is 6 years older than I am. I have always thought to marry at least 3 years older than me. And I got married in my early 30s.

My sister married someone younger than her. They divorced after two years.

Dh and I are 1 month apart and happily married for 23 years. 3 of my sisters are married to/with younger men. There are 3 yrs, 4 yrs and 10 yrs age gaps. All are happy, long term relationships. Ages early 40's to mid 50's. Age isn't an issue when you like each other, share values and grow together. My bff's 25 year partner is 26 years older. Now in his 70's and with failing health, it's hard for her with so much life ahead.

Well, for good reason. Most of these marriages aren’t based on love and friendship but money and looks.

This thread reminded me of a friend who thwarted every relationship her young sons had from their teens to their late twenties, one ended up in a gay relationship, other is still unmarried at 41.

+100. Nobody I know that married a younger guy had any fertility issues. If you marry an older guy, there may be a sabotager--'friends' trying to keep the group single, incestuous MIL.

You sound like a dope OP. If you have ever been to an old age home, it is mostly women. Women should marry younger, men- not older ones.
