She said don't. Huge difference. For many in the South, "Man" unless fair-skinned didn't have human rights. "Man" (homo sapiens) unless bearing a penis and a y-chromosome didn't have human rights.

Also, "overweight" can be choice in certain situations and under 5'7" can not be a choice in most situations.

Eh, I find the whole thing confusing.

She said they "don't" have human rights ("jinken"), which on the surface sounds like an observation. As such, saying they should undergo bone lengthening (as a way of obtaining human rights) could be a weird (sardonic?) comment on her observation, and her stated preference for taller men could also be a comment on her observation. Meanwhile, it is pointed out that in the gaming word the Japanese term translated as "human rights" is said to have a different meaning, which I did find: "However, in gaming terms, jinken refers to an item or character that players need to have in an online game." So I have no idea whether she means she prefers (virtually) taller men in games, or is talking about real life. NO clue what body shaming involves when it comes to avatars.

All in all, I'm not interested in trying to extend a social meaning to whatever happened here. I clicked on the thread because I was curious what the topic title was about.

What she said is wrong, but you’re also wrong for lifting it out of context and using it to somehow argue with women in DC who talk about body positivity. It’s beyond absurd.
