oP/ premise is faulty; many women do not prefer musicians at all. For many of the reasons already cited in this thread.

Haha, point taken. OK so a guy with a mastery of something she finds cool or interesting then, maybe a guy who rehabilitates baby otters would be more attractive than an IT guy to some women.
