Nowhere. All the comparative schools in the city raised their prices last year, boarding school is more expensive, and public schools is worst off.

Did it, though? There was a finite amount of money available, and it's not like Sidwell was in any danger of closing. Most educational institutions on solid financial footing didn't go after government money.
It wasn't Sidwell's finest moment.

That's good for the team, the players who will get recruited at competitive colleges, and the potential future enrollment pool for Sidwell itself not to mention donations from parents who want to be associated with high caliber, winning schools.

Yea, the PPP thing is confusing at best. I may be wrong about how it worked and how many restaurants took advantage of it. My bad. Still, I think it's lame to justify doing something assholic by saying "others did it too."

At least Sidwell get its doors open, activities running, better COVID related health precautions, and school in-person. That is the success story parents in public schools were demanding for two years and still haven't gotten.
Honestly I don't understand the complaints. Wouldn't you pay an extra 6% to ensure your kids were in-person and extracurriculars were still normal?

The only requirement for the PPP loan was to advertise that jobs were available. They did not have to hire or retain staff.
Momofuku got a $1.48M PPP loan in April 2020/March 2021. Immediately shut down its DC location and kept its NY and Las Vegas locations. Just reshuffle of money but staff fired.
