Stop fighting, nitwits. What are you doing, in practice, to ban and confiscate guns, and address the cause of violence? Is it gangs? Drugs? What needs to be done?

I don’t think we add to that total either.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Ugh, my DD is going to Georgetown University and this makes me so nervous
416 people were murdered in DC in 2021.
Lie.
+1 That number includes Fairfax, MoCo, and PG counties. DC was at just under 200 by itself, which is high enough without adding in the burbs.
I mean, fairfax county is like 50% higher population than dc and had 21 total homicides in 2021. Let's not pretend it's a significant contributor to the crime in the area lol

An Arlington man is facing two felony charges following a shooting at a grocery store in Fairfax County.
According to police, Harvey Coleman, 33, called police after he said he shot someone in self-defense inside a Food Star in Falls Church, Virginia, on Saturday.

Ironic that, in the same post you call others nitwits, you ask what they are doing to "ban and confiscate guns." There is literally nothing that can be done to ban guns. The Supreme Court has ruled on this issue. Unless you are implementing the plan from the Pelican Brief, it's a settled issue (at least with this Court). Pay closer attention.

We are playing a game of frogger trying to avoid what can get us everytime we leave the house. I heard someone was driving down east west hwy and a tree fell on car and killed a mom. If she leaves the house 30 seconds later, she lives. You really just never know when it’s your time to goAnonymous wrote:Ugh, my DD is going to Georgetown University and this makes me so nervous
Shooting someone is a deliberate act, it's not a random act of God. It's rational to decide to avoid the risk of going to a crime-ridden area.
Tell that to the families of all the children who were killed by a stray bullet just walking or playing in their neighborhood.

It’s all those people coming in from Virginia.
Uh, no. Virginians who used to frequent Georgetown now avoid it like the plague. Nice try, though.

+1000.
We live inside the beltway in VA.
Georgetown is dead to us. Sad, because I went to American and used to LOVE the old Georgetown.
