OP here. I am not saying she is CAUSING me to feel a certain way. I mean to say that I feel a certain way by being around her.

Welp, then you should probably seek therapy to work through your feelings. You clearly are insecure.

Go buy yourself a tiara to wear with your tasteful outfits to every family function. Amazon has a big selection. Get a custom tailor to make a sash for you with, “I’ll always be the winner here!” embroidered on it. Your DH and your ILs may love that!

The problem really is not SIL, the problem is you have feelings you don’t know how to deal with and can’t let go of. You need to do some internal work on you. A therapist can help.
