I think there is a difference between giving physical attraction a chance to build vs. it never existing or it disappearing. I dated a man who wasn't everyone's idea of attractive, but I was attracted to him. However when he did things that made me lose that attraction, nothing, including his wealth (hundreds of millions) could make me find him attractive again.

Guy here. I met a girl in a running group that definitely wasn't my type. We sometimes ended up running alone and over time I found myself becoming very attractive to her.

We dated for over a year, but I had to move because of work and she was too close to her family to move. So it can happen for guys too
