True. If this works for you, great. This would definitely not be my pick for something sweet after dinner though!

Me and I'm 5'7 and 135 lbs. at 46 years old.

OP, some options below. I do low carb and whole foods, with no fillers, gums, or artificial sweeteners.

1) apple - a sweet kind like Fuji - and string cheese
2) Keto bread with almond butter and fresh berries on top. I like Base Culture Bread (the red one) the best.
3) Simple Mills cookies, I like the chocolate ones but they have toasted pecans and cinnamon ones. 4 cookies have 16g of carbs
4) full-fat cottage cheese with hazelnuts and blueberries
5) a glass of whole milk
6) check if your local whole foods carries Nats raw cakes. They are AMAZING - I buy the tiramisu and the lime & mango. 17g cabs each and very filling.

I'm 47, 5'7", 121 lbs and don't snack after dinner. Does that mean I win?
I also bake with this sweetener from Mom's. I get terrible stomach issues from the fake ones but this is good, has no aftertaste, and acts like a prebiotic. I make an apple crisp with almond flour crust with it.

One Alter Eco Superdark chocolate truffle if I just want a sweet taste in my mouth after dinner. If I'm still a bit hungry, I'll eat one of their chocolate nut butter bombs -- one type has hazelnut butter, the other almond butter.

But I do try to eat enough protein and fat with dinner that I'm not actually hungry.

Heating milk brings out the sugar. I sometimes add honey or vanilla syrup or cinnamon or brandy.

Ricotta with berries and a drizzle of maple syrup.

Banana, maybe with some nut butter and chopped nuts or a drizzle of caramel wnd chopped nuts.

Jello's not bad. I think a cup is 80 calories.

I would stick with the cereal but maybe try something just a bit sweeter than cheerios.

Some ideas:

- strawberries with or without low-cal whipped cream
- diet pudding
- one treat - one piece of candy or cookie if you can restrict yourself
- diet gelato / sorbet
- tea

Another alternative is to brush your teeth to try to break the habit.

I have a small scoop of vanilla ice cream with cinnamon sprinkled on top. I eat it out of a teacup with a small spoon so it feels fancy.

Or sometimes I just have a spoonful of peanut butter.
