Just assume APS will be closed. There's no reason to think they'll even try to open.

Anonymous wrote:It is shocking. And also fccps, their neighbor, was open today and will be open tomorrow. Dcps, their neighbor, is open tomorrow.

This has got to be a joke
No, not joking at all actually. I’m saying, I empathize with families for whom this is difficult. But personally, I’ve been having a lovely time all week and can’t wait for the excitement on DCs’ faces when I give them the news.![]()
We will likely just take Friday off either way at this point, maybe go skiing!

I mean, this is borderline incompetence. Did APS really not think this through?
Did you think sh&t wouldn't happen during a week bracketed by two snowstorms, a Covid wave of positives in the region, and a teacher shortage? GFY.
Nope- it’s obviously none of those things that make sense- it’s APS and it’s hatred of parents.![]()
reading comprehension much?
the issue isn't that APS is closed. the issue is that APS flip-flopped within a few hours leaving parents in the lurch. we also have to plan ahead you know. on top of that, if the flip-flop was based off of some unforeseen event, then fine. but this (FCPS closing) was entirely predictable, and thus APS would've withheld any announcement until they knew what FCPS was going to do.
Riiiiiiight. Like the parents wouldn't have lost their damn minds if they had just cancelled in the first place. Please.
If opening hinged on FCPS’s decision, there was no reason for APS to make an announcement before FCPS. That’s just basic logic.
