Watch some video clips from The Voice. The pictures on instagram are makeup/filters/posing.
Definitely not. You sound really clueless. Her eyefolds are pretty much completely gone now. Do you have any knowledge about plastic surgery?

Or if she previously portrayed herself as Latina? Why is it so bad? Why can one portray themselves as a different gender but not a different ethnicity? What makes ethnicity so sacrosanct but not gender?

Why can't anyone answer my question?
Here’s an answer to your disingenuous question that you’re trying to use to call out transgenderism: it’s not okay to pretend to be another race.
It's not a disingenuous question that I'm using to call out transgenderism. Why is it not okay to pretend to be another race? What makes ethnicity so sacrosanct? Why is it not okay to experiment this way? What makes it so bad? Why are people so upset by what she is doing?

Then she gradually morphed into a black or mixed facade and I was like WTF. Now this. K pop is the new wave, J pop hasn't quite gained as much traction, but either way she's just latching into a new identity. I don't understand how anyone thinks this is ok.
+1
I also initially thought she was Latinx!
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:IDK. She definitely has lip filler and probably preventative Botox and contours the crap out of her face.
I teach college students and makeup in young people is really really something. Plenty of my students look like her (generally) in both pics. Almost different people say to day.
I’m unfazed.

Lip filler doesnt generally erase your double eyelids!

Anonymous wrote:Her Koreanesque pics were very odd - could it be imitation is the highest form of flattery? I'd defer to what Koreans think, not wypipo here.
I saw some other pics posted, didn't seem to be appropriating other cultures. She was really tan 24/7 for years and years. She is from South Florida and I think Sicilian. It seems almost odd now if she is pale.
The surgery she actually did probably get was early in her singing career - an excellent nose job and possibly eyebrow lift, not sure if maybe blepharoplasty too. Just compare her Disney teen pics to like 2019.

Anonymous wrote:Ariana Grande has clearly attempted to make herself appear 'exotic' and has leaned on a variety of different cultures somewhat ambiguously to create that look. You can feel one way or another about that. She also really leans on that 'look like a small child' aesthetic which has some overlap with 'look asian'.
But this is insane she has clearly NOT removed her eyelids lol.

Agree. In that second link, she’s got her eyes half closed (which, in combo with makeup, gets rid of eyelid creases), and the heavy winged eyeliner definitely helps.
