I would find a therapist and attempt to talk to them about the best way to deal with this.
There may be certain techniques that can help you avoid uncomfortable feelings when you come across an unexpected vision of clusters.

Eew ticks on a cow grazing on a dairy farm was my first inkling that I had this disorder.

I have this bad and it gives me daily anxiety. I am always on edge that wherever I look I will see something that will either make me scratch my skin or feel nausea or anxiety.
Currently I am trying exposure therapy with my therapist so hopefully with time I can overcome this.
I envy people who can view photos or objects with raised bumps, holes and perfect patterns and simply forget them and move on.
In my case, I feel anxiety, fear and oftentimes my stomach hurts.

Actually as much as 20% of people suffer from this weird disorder.

I have had severe trypophobia for as long as I can remember.

My specific triggers include:
• Pipa Pipa toad from Suriname
• American Horror Story videos when they showcased this disorder on the show
• Chicken pox (especially on pumpkins!)
• Entire trees filled with nuts planted by woodpeckers
• Coffee froth
• Snowballs clumped together

Also my dog 🐕 lumps on his fur…..like ten of them and while they were benign - I could not look at them without getting goosebumps.

Yikes, that Michael Jordan pic, those scars make me itchy.

Oh I hated that scene in Black Panther (?) when Michael B. developed all those bumps on his chest!
I was enjoying the movie until his body suddenly was covered in those ghastly scars.

I have this and have had it for years but could never discuss this with anyone because I didn’t want them to think I was a glorified freak!
But my DD confided in me that she couldn’t play in the snow with our poodle…..because he would get multiple snowballs attached to his fur and she just couldn’t handle seeing that.
She told me that clusters of bumps/patterns give her goose pimples and make her anxious.

I first realized that I had this when a woodpecker at my Dad’s house had stored tons of round nuts in tons of round holes on an entire side of a tree!

I have developed this in recent years and it’s getting worse. It’s strange!

Funny. I just watch The Invisible Man (the 2020 movie) over the weekend. Do not recommend for people with trypophobia.
