Two years of childhood experiences robbed. And some people want to take it into year three. Crazy!
What isn't normal? Everything is back to normal and no restrictions.
I’m talking about the handful of posters here still keeping their kids under house arrest.
Why do you care if some of us are more cautious than you? Sorry, you're free babysitting at our home days are over even when we go back to normal. Sorry, no more feeding your kids dinner while you are home relaxing. No more driving your kids to activities while you make up some excuse when it's your day. Let's be real. You don't care about our kids as if you did you'd be more cautious so we could be more comfortable having our socialize with yours. We'll gladly wait out covid and then take all our frequent flyer miles and have a blast.

Imagine finally reaching freedom only to encounter more restrictions than anyone could ever imagine. The whole thing has been a nightmare and a waste of money and time that they can never repeat.

But our kids are back to normal. School is normal. Sports are normal. Playdates are normal. It's all normal.

Many children died during the same time in MoCo from car accidents, drowning, and falling out of windows. Do you also not take them on car rides; avoid swimming and baths; put special locks on all windows?
Saying no kids have died of covid in MoCo is misleading as we've been very fortunate. What happens when one does? Our schools were not in person which probably played a big part in it. However, many kids have died of covid in the use and many many more around the world. Approx. 700 in the US died. And, how many kids have lost their parents due to covid? Right, you don't care.
You can justify it how ever you want and not be responsible about it, but that's really too bad for your kids you cannot set a good example for them
I would hope you have locks on your widows, I'd hope you use car seats, seat belts and when you purchase a new car get all the safety features. I'd also hope that your kids only swim with a skilled adult or lifeguard around... precautious in everything you said are important which makes death avoidable. A drowning in a bathtub is completely avoidable if a adult is supervising. But, again, it takes a responsible adult.
Back to the covid discussion, which you aren't capable of.
Sadly plenty of kids have died from other things during the pandemic, why don’t you care about them? So heartless. Why is it all about covid to you?

No one has robbed your kids of anything except you. You can make the best of the situation and instead of dumping your kids on others you could actually spend time with them and create wonderful family memories.
I spend a lot of time with my kids. Just not barricaded inside my house. Hopefully your kids are eligible for parole soon enough, though.
Anonymous wrote:Eh. Just bundle them up and let them play outside. Outside play is healthier anyways

Plus plenty of outdoor park play dates. My kid was hospitalized with RSV as a toddler, which is a risk we all somehow learned to accept. The risk of COVID to young kids is still incredibly low (there’s no reason to think this new variant is any more deadly). You take risks like driving in a car with your children every day, but presumably the upsides are worth the small risk. Anyone not letting their kids have a normal childhood at this point is doing it themselves. We had a giant get together with cousins yesterday and it was so fun seeing them all play.
We don't do them because of peel like you. You are doing multiple get togethers with multiple groups which puts us all at risk but OP is sending her kids to school and doing everything else so her kids are having a normal childhood and she's just being dramatic.
Covid in kids is increasing. Thanks you for your help with that!
You again? Can you please find a new hobby?
What, don't want to hear the truth?
Please go touch grass.
