DP here. The first Hanukkah I dated my Jewish DH I taught myself to make latkes and bought Maneschewitz. He was so appreciative of my thoughtfulness but later nicely told me Jewish people don't actually drink Maneschewitz! We still laugh about that 20 years later!

I’ve shared this here before, but my gentile father called Maneschewitz “juice,” and used to drink it out of juice glasses. 😂

I did not see this shared here before so I'm glad you shared again!
Juice dad!

Thanks for saying that. He passed away a few months ago and it’s therapeutic for me to talk about him.

Waldorf?

Isn't one jello vs. apple and raisin. or no, both trailer jello. Oh but my mom does make an awesome one that's like super fluffy whipped cream with a hint of green jello

We get this every year and haven't seen it this year. Oh well, I guess we'll mix cranberry juice and ginger ale.

My kids were excited that I found cranberry Sprite at the store—we didn’t find any last year. It’s a 2 liter bottle and not cans but oh well.

Store bought pies. I make everything else but every year I get one pie in and I get mad. So off to the bakery.
