Agreed. But Op wants high up, for whatever reason. Peoples obsession with height is insane. You don’t need clear visibility for enemy IED or anything.

You can't see crap when turning or driving in general in a car because EVERYONE ELSE is in a huge truck or SUV. Sorry, but until everyone else stops driving huge vehicles—which is never going to happen—I'm not buying another car.

+1

I've always preferred cars, but being surrounded by huge vehicles has made me change my preference.

This debate about sitting higher up has made me remember a friend of my family who drove trucks for a living. He once took me for a drive in his truck. You're sitting 6 ft high and can see a quarter of a mile down the street. It's like a totally different driving world up there.

As another sedan driver, I agree. The view is fantastic. My next car is definitely going to be tall.

CRV is the vehicle for those who truly don't care, but just want steady, solid motorized movement from one point to another.

A vehicle that sits higher up is best for my joints. It's easier for me to get in and out.

Preference is not the same as obsession.
Do you think that people that have this preference are insance?

NP, I'm not obsessed with height but I do enjoy driving my Ford Explorer which gives me a little bit of height. I can see the road clearly and don't have to worry about the bottom of my vehicle scraping the road anytime I hit a big bump in the road.

If money was no object and I could afford any vehicle in the world, I still wouldn't buy a car. Cars sit too low for my liking.

Yeah, it might seem like a good idea to give him an "uncool" vehicle to drive, but there's way too much seating in there for him to not end up hauling everyone everywhere.

Yep a buddy plowed his party wagon into a ditch with 10 people on board and still room for a keg.
