Sad that many of you hold this view instead of doing your f***ing job.

DP.

Teachers ARE doing their job. They expect parents to do theirs. Sounds like you aren't up to the task.

Instead of trolling here you should be figuring out your childcare situation. Other parents, like me, have it already figured out. In fact, because we saw the train on the tracks when we had kids entering school, we planned for little changes like this a long time ago.

So sit up straight, put on your big girl panties and do your job as a parent.

+100. I know childcare is hard to find. Parents need apply pressure on their work places to be more human. I detest the fact that people assume public schools are childcare.

None of this matters because LCPS IS NOT ASYNCHRONOUS next week! Why are we all still arguing about childcare nobody needs to find?

That’s hilarious. Good job on spreading that rumor!

Love how troll OP never came back once it was quite clear she was just making it all up. Not only is my school open next week, we barely have any teachers on leave.

Republicans are literally rubbing their hands together with glee when you type this kind of cr*p. Hooray!

Why would Republicans be rubbing their hands together with glee? This doesn't make any sense.

I mean, just look at the results of the elections a few weeks ago. Despite his efforts to demonize LCPS, Glen Youngkin lost Loudoun County by a huge margin. Around the country wherever candidates for school board ran on anti-CRT nonsense and the like, they lost big time. So, what is rallying Republicans by pointing out that parents have a job to do? Last I checked, Republicans were big fans of personal responsibility and not relying on government schools providing child care.

What’s that person going to say? We are incompetent and care more about gender ideology and anti-racism over actual academic education and values they’ll use as adults?

Are you out of your mind?! How dare you?!?!? *Greta Thunberg’s voice*

What is actually *wrong* with you, pp? Are you regressing or something?

I have zero idea what you're prattling on about regarding "gender ideology and anti-racism" in this context. Would you care to elaborate? And, what's with your mockery of Greta Thunberg?

Both the members of the school board and Thunberg, I promise, have done more to benefit society than you ever have. You're just kind of a whiny waste of space.

Were you born with this character defect of yours or is this nastiness learned behavior? Genuine question.

Anonymous wrote:I want a legal challenge to these days. They should not count towards days in school. No my kids had nothing assigned last week.

Exactly how many weeks of annual leave do they think parents get? Also, my boss had enough after last week because everyone needed off all of a sudden when they announced late last time.

I don't. I will not support your efforts to force my kids to remain in school into July. Eff that.

Let’s see what Youngkin does about staffing issues.

What happens if kids are in school but there aren’t enough teachers? Do they just put all of the kids in the gym for babysitting?

Anyone who thinks Youngkin cares even remotely about public schools has another thing coming. One of the first things out of his mouth after the election was that he was going to funnel lots of money into charter schools. He successfully tricked suburban white women into thinking he cares about their kids’ education.

+1,000. And those same dupes are crowing so loudly about how proud they are to have gotten him elected.

Morons. They'll learn.

You’re mad at a governor who was elected two years ago for the systemic problems in your county’s schools?

No, quite the opposite actually. There are all these people that think Youngkin is going to magically solve the systemic problems that are in our schools. He's not, not even a little. He used education to get the votes but he doesn't care about public schools and will actually make many issues worse as he funnels money away from public schools and into charters and vouchers.
