Anonymous wrote:Bought FCV to keep the tsj soccer program alive, now bought spirit to keep FCV alive, what will they buy next to keep spirit alive? Don't think it's making a profit yet, and the owners selling are the ones making the profits.... TSJ doesn't have a lot of expertise running a professional team, so they're going to throw more people at it who have worked in the youth game their whole careers... might as well bring back RB.
Who wants to bet BP will be the next spirit coach?
Anonymous wrote:I don't think anyone cares that TSJ purchases or becomes part owner of the Spirit. The elephant in the room is that RB and TT, who are the center of all this NWSL controversy and may end up upending the league, works for or has joined back with FCV, who TSJ owns now. Let the LGBTQ and women's rights get ahold of that story, if the deal actually goes through and you will see this league fold faster than a hot knife through butter. So should be very interesting to see how this plays out. I have my popcorn ready. lol

If NWSL has to approve the new owner they will likely side with a woman owner paying more for the club than a local gym who has current working relationships with TT and past connections with Richie Burke.
It would be a terrible look for NWSL to approve a sale for a lower offer to a ownership group that has connections to people that brought negative press upon the league.
