Because of their dramatic increase in endowment? It's definitely worthy of discussing but it certainly triggered a sect of endowment worshippers on DCUM who have absolutely zero clue on how endowments are supposed to work.

Northwestern for I don't even know, being Northwestern?
JHU for being too academic/nerdy
Caltech for being too hard and driving students away to MIT
WashU's rise in endowment and how it will poach all those star professors from the ivies
Duke and Brown's #5 and #6 rankings on WSJ
Cornell for being dead last in the ivy league
Berkeley's #1 ranking and UCSD's #15 ranking on Forbes
Georgetown not being in the T20

I'm another person who hated the CTCL boosterism, but also hates UVA boosters too.
CTCL boosters drive me crazy and I’m indifferent to UVA haha
