It must suck to be in your own home with your own kid and the MIL comes and interferes. She just broke up this young family.

One person committed a crime and one didn't.

Oh trespassing is definitely a crime. Zayn needs to lawyer up.

Not if she was given the passcode by the owner with the expectation that she could visit the baby to help out..

It doesn't matter. If she doesn't own the home and he lives there, she can not legally just walk in. If your neighbor gives you a key to their house to use while they are on vacation, you can not just let yourself in their house whenever you want.

She is an adult child of a womanizing, cheater father and slightly unstable (weight fixation, insecure) mother. A child of divorce. Gigi, of course, is insecure herself and has a bad picker because of childhood trauma issues.

So many dysfunctional people/families out there that just pass it on down to the next generation.

A classic case of NO BOUNDARIES. I hope Gigi learns something from this incident, she will continue to have the same issue with every partner if she does not set reasonable boundaries with her mother.

No wonder domestic violence is off the charts and Gabby Petito is dead.

You sound like an abuser.

there are NOT 2 sides to the story that matter, when violence enters the picture.

I'm not making light of physical abuse, but Yolanda can drive anyone to drink.

She poured on the acting with her Lyme disease for a storyline, and as soon as her & husband divorced, she was magically cured!

That woman is the definition of manipulative.

Yes after she went to the tabloids with this and claimed he hit and shoved her, she filed a police report for harassment. This is correct, he was only charged with four counts of harassment.

Poor choice of words given what actually happened, I guess.

You sound like a misogynist who does not respect woman, so maybe you and her ex would get along.

There was no hitting. Yolanda claims he shoved her but that is not substantiated by the eye witness. Zayn pleaded no contest to harassment for telling his partner to grow some balls.

Yup, I agree.

Really? You'd be cool with your partner hitting your mom for coming over to your home and walking in?

You can be upset that she walked in, but you'd blame her for breaking up your relationship for this and not the fact that your partner just hit your mom?

First, we don’t know what happened. Secondly, she did not walk in she barged in with a security guard demanding to take his daughter, so clearly premeditated. Thirdly, it was an extended altercation given the fact he called his partner begging to ask her crazy mother out of the house.

She also threatened him publicly before filing a police report.

Of course he made a terrible mistake if he hit her (although how with a security guard there?) but yeah this was a well laid trap. Only toxic in-laws meddle like this.

How do you know she 'barged in and demanded his daughter". We could also presume he was high or drunk thus grandma was trying to protect the kid. And screaming down a phone telling your partner to 'grow a pair of f#$%ing balls" does not really equate to "begging" his partner.

I don't care if my mother were acting crazy, there is no way I'd be cool with him hitting her. He could call the police if it was that threatening to him, but you all are crazy for placing the blame squarely on Yolanda. From "spiteful hag" to "laying a well-laid trap". Ya'll are like a bunch of incels.

He did not hit her he pushed her, those were the charges. When you come in with a security guard insisting to take someone’s child you are effectively barging in where you are unwelcome.

He is the father, if he says no you leave. The child’s mother was out of the country, when she returns from her trip she can take her daughter to see grandma.

Yolanda is a toxic meddler destroying a young child’s life.

Thank goodness for her. That child does not need to be around someone so volatile.

If he behaves like that even in front of a security guard, imagine how volatile he must be in private. So glad Gigi got out of this early enough.

Clearly he is a trustworthy and loving father if Gigi feels comfortable working in another continent while the daughter is home in his care.

It was a three on one shock and awe operation. Angling for full custody I gather.

This. Plenty of people have horrible in laws, but once you start shoving senior citizens your high horse has escaped the barn.

LOL Yolanda is 57 and fitter than the horses she rides.

And he's a 28 year old man.

Man hitting Lady= BAD;WRONG;ABUSE

I don't care how batsh%t your MIL is (and I have a completely batsh%t one) You don't go around swinging at women.

And she probably brought the security guard with her because this probably is not the first time he's been physical.

Agree. I'm sure Yolanda is about as annoying and overbearing a MIL as can be imagined. But, even putting aside earlier rumors about him, there is no way you go from zero to hitting a 60-yr old on your first rodeo.
