ok. some folks are focused on the fact that the risk of serious illness for kids is low. Very true! AND, consider the fact that kids DO get and SPREAD Covid--though they may not get seriously ill. there are plenty of cases where the kid has spread it and someone else in the household got really sick. some died. some lived. Given the immune comprised folks in my family, I am getting my kids vaccinated. If you don't have immune compromised folks in your family that you're around often, I guess you can not vaccinate your kids.

So, it's not just about dc. I know they are low risk. They also have 4 elderly grandparents they see daily/often (local). My parents are vaxxed, his are not, yes, his dad with a pacemaker! is not vaxxed. I want to protect the grandparents also.

It's the same reason I get dc flu shots-I'm not worried about the flu, I worry about spread to our family. And dh is FINE with that shot.

But not children! Elderly and obese. Quantify their risk. You cant. Some kids have been in school for 3 years already and kids in some places have no mask. So no kids are not this at risk as Vietnam. And that’s not a reason to get divorced. But there will always be something important and big the media pushes to divide people on. No one can agree on everything especially when it’s new. This is actually happening with marriages. Two people can be vaccinated but one is still scared to go out while the other goes out alone. On this case, given the little data with kids (not adults), that’s not antivaxxer. Kids have low risk (assuming your kids are healthy). Don’t let the politics of world infect your marriage. Try to find a common ground and see his perspective. I again assume he does everything like put them in car seats etc. if you have a good marriage don’t throw it out because of this. That’s crazy.
