Right? My husband will play Mario Kart with the kids for like 30 minutes if they beg him.
If its for an hour or two in the evening after kids go to bed (similar to the amount of time a normal person would spend reading or watching netflix) that seems fine to me. Just like other people posted before, if it's a casual hobby for a reasonable amount of time that doesn't impact actual adult responsibilities thats very different from being a video game addict.
Of course 14 hours a day, affecting employment and avoiding caring for the family, is absolutely ridiculous.
