Terry McAuliffe isn’t doing himself any favors when he says things like parents shouldn’t control what their children are being taught in school. I’m honestly not happy with either candidate and don’t know what to do on voting day. They’re both appalling.

Every time DW and I see that Youngkin commercial, we wonder why that statement is portrayed as a bad thing.

Same. He’s fundamentally misjudged NOVA parents.

Oh no, he is not. He will bring prayer back. Whose prayer might that be Buddest? Or Jewish? Not Christian right? He will ban books. He will privatize schools and get even richer taking your monies.

CRT is not taught in classrooms people don't be dumb.

And youngkin is a traitor he supports trump that tells you everything you need to know about him. God help us is he gets elected. America is dying before our eyes and cult members are dumb enough to the a Dictator will make America better. HAHAHAHAHA idots.

Man, someone here needs to learn some writing skills... run on sentences, lack of punctuation, spelling errors, incoherent thoughts.....
Maybe a little additional schooling would serve you well.

But parents shouldn't. If you only want your child taught in school what you want your child taught in school, then you need to homeschool. Should flat-earther parents control what their children are taught in public school? How about creationist parents? How about parents who want their children to be taught a curriculum that includes the 1619 Project and Critical Race Theory?

Ideally I would like actual education experts deciding what is taught - not a partisan school board. Ugh.

The school board doesn’t decide the curriculum.

I would listen if you feel like telling my how it is selected. I’m in FCPS.

How do? I don’t want the crazy Trumpers, some of whom are parents, driving school policy, banning books and freaking out about bathrooms and CRT when instead of focusing on real issues regarding local schools, like promoting evidence-based phonics instruction and tossing Lucy Caulkins into the trash bin of failed “ideas” about how to teach reading and writing.

Exactly. Putting political signs in your yard is peak narcissism. No one cares what you think and the fact that you think you need to broadcast your political beliefs to the world shows what a shameless narcissist you are.

They probably are.

I'd suggest that you should become a functioning adult. Putting up a Youngkin sign isn't some act of racist aggression. It is them supporting a mainstream candidate. If that is emotionally overwhelming to you, then it might be time to seek help.

He's only a mainstream candidate because the political spectrum has shifted so much. Time was, he would have been a far-right candidate, or at least if he'd espoused then the views that he's espousing now.
