Lots of corporate scholarships available to those who meet the cutoff.
Right. The parents of SFS lifers who’ve spent $600,000 are in it for the merit scholarship. Definitely not for the ego boost. Definitely not.
Not everyone is full pay, but you knew that already, right?
Yes, I did, but 80% are full pay,a new how many are getting aid that is even 50% of tuition? It’s a great honor to make NMSF, don’t misunderstand me. But the vast majority of SFS, including most of those on aid, I suspect, if given a choice between (a) paying full freight at HYPS or (b) getting a 50% scholarship to G’town, or Duke, or Northwestern, would chose (a). Which means they aren’t in it for the scholarship dollars as much as for the resume padding.

Sidwell is a different kind of student overall. Kids are not as well rounded as social as sta. Different kids. Friend at Sidwell say all their kids do is study and they have way more homework daily and over the weekend. Despite this college admissions are about the same. Remember Sidwell has 125-130 students and sta has about 80-85 max

Many did.
How is that possible? If you school offered the PSAT, you were not eligible to use the easier AE.
Same question here: if your school offered PSAT, will you be able to submit SAT as an alternative?
No.

Anonymous wrote:Sidwell had 14 NMSF in 2018 and 13 in 2020, so 15/16 is not that abnormal.
