That is silly of course but that is the dice roll.
Most of the black land was worthless pretty much at the time. Even today a lot is in the south.
Look at our neck of the woods Scotland and Toby Town are two historical black neighborhoods as well as both Prince George, and a lot of sections of DC. Even in a 2021 real estate bubble of epic proportions they are not worth a lot.
It is worthless to you but not to the people who stole it. What a ridiculous statement.

It is way past 10 generations now
The Bible also states to forgive 70 x 7. Do you take that literally? Like, you only forgive 490 times, and the 491th time you no longer forgive them?
I don't think you understand what that passage really means.
The bible was also cool with slavery. And polygamy. And religion was used as a justification to conquer and enslave. But by all means rely on your stories about ghosts and miracles. I like fairy tales too!

Were your ancestors the first to settle their land, or did they take it from another people during the prolonged period of inter-tribal conflict, such as the Comanches and the Apache or Tonkawa?
They were the first. Can we have it back now? It’s millions of acres of what you renamed the Midwest.
Prove it. That's not what genetic record shows.
Also most people are mixed ancestry. If your father was a slave and mom white, why should you get land back?

Like, people alive TODAY had their grandparents kicked off those properties. This is very recent history with a short family tree of heirs.
People bringing up slavery from the mid 1800s are just trying to distract from the issue.
taking houses with title that has been clear for decades and returning it would be beyond dubious constitutionally
It wouldn't be houses. Specifically with regard to Belmont, you could return the land the Saks is on to the heirs of the investors who were harassed and arrested out, from the heirs of the people who perpetrated it.

I’m Jewish. I want my ancestral homes back that we fled/lost during the Holocaust. Except I understand that is futile and destructive.
There are many, many MANY horrifically wronged people in history. It simply isn’t practical to try to right every historical wrong.
