The closed school advocates only have themself to blame for Youngkin and school choice advancing so much nationally (when they wanted schools closed in the DC area, within easy view of conservative policymakers and lawmakers from around the US).

Youngkin should send a thank you letter to Smart Restart and One APS.

Schools are open, nimrod.

They are now, but not last year. They are an essential government service, and Democrats (at the urging of closed school activists) didn't treat them like essential services so voters chose a person who would. Youngkin really need to send a fruit basket to Ventilation Woman's house and One APS's castle as a gift.

It's our usual neighborhood DCUM obsessed stalker. You need help, buddy.

There's a lot of misplaced anger here. This guy can't handle life not being normal during a pandemic so he lashes out irrationally at a parent who he should thank for getting hepa filters in his kids' school. And he can't stop bringing it up, over and over on an anonymous message board that he seems addicted to. Sad and disturbing.

Thank the tiny 25% who (irrationally) objected to school reopening for things that were unnecessary, like hepa filters (which places in Europe and elsewhere in the US did not need to reopen)? Not a chance.

And now their actions have caused the election of a Republican governor that promised schools will not closed and a Republican AG who promised to sue any school district that does. Youngkin couldn't have done it without the NOVA Democrats catering to the crazy nuts.

That doesn't even make sense.

As a parent, I believe that putting all that money toward VLP was just a way to siphon the money to a holding spot so they could decided later. They knew they didn't need it for VLP but they also had no other plans and had to say they were going to do something so they picked that because they knew it wouldn't consume much and then later on they could figure out what to really do with it and move it around.

This is what to me is wrong with having all democrats run everything. No one ever questions anything and they never actually make any decisions. It probably has a lot to do with the fact that they don't even know what decisions to make. It's not that they don't want to do it they are just to scared and unknowledgeable to actually do anything or make changes.

Who would have guessed that so many idiot parents would vote for a pro-life Trump Republican governor *just because* they were mad at what Duran and the school board did a year ago.

It’s tough to wrap your head about just how senseless and irrational that is.

Miguel Cardona has now came out against virtual education. APS should be focusing on winding down the VLP after this school year or Youngkin will kill it.

APE has produced all the evidence needed about how APS didn't even follow a proper budget process, and blew all of these 1-time federal funds on 1 school without proper federally-required community input (just like if instead APS spent all the money on Abingdon). School is safe (and has been safe) for all but a tiny, tiny % of students (a fraction of what's enrolled in the VLP when you compare it to Fairfax). We have 2 statewide virtual programs.

Bring on Governor Youngkin, the soon-to-be Arlington VLP Slayer.

I’m an admin on a FB board (unrelated to anything APS). You can easily delete all posts from a certain user when you remove/block them from your group. It doesn’t take long. If the admins had just posted and said that fake profiles will be removed, it would seem less suspicious.

Has APS finally gotten teacher for all the VLP classes yet or are they still hanging out in virtual holding pens? The whole program rollout was hot garbage.
