Probably because the Kennedys represent both sides of the coin: Scandals and debauchery, but also public service and charitable works. The Trumps have never given a damn about other people and have contributed nothing of value to this country.

And having lived in the south, can confirm that this stereotype exists for a reason. Witnessed the “who’s your granddaddy?” privilege first hand. It’s not just one or two families.

The same generational connections exist in NY and Connecticut. Way more than one family as well. If you went to any Boston schools, you would know that.

You could drill down on those two and find many other commonalities other than region.

My understanding is most of the victims are owed by the law firm - which is why they went bankrupt and no longer exist.

The victims in the boat wreck case (where a young lady died) sued Buster (because it was his license that Paul used to buy the alcohol ), the store that sold the underage person alcohol, and Paul/parents.

After AM was charged Buster inherited part of Maggie's estate and wanted to settle and give it to them - but the store was pushing back because they wanted all to be co-defendants and didn't want Buster to be able to settle independently. Also the law firm and the bank had their hands out to get some of the estate from Buster and thus were holding up the settlement.

Anything that AM did have probably went to his defense. There was a news story about the luxury estate on the water they were renting that cost $20k a week. I assume that cost in addition to their fees.
