I think JLo is one of the hardest working women in really any industry. She has an incredible work ethic. I don't think she's going to tolerate Ben being or doing any less with his talent. She will call him out on his s$i! and if will let the arrogance go with her and let her run the show he will thrive. He thinks he needs to be the alpha in all aspects of the relationship when he really only needs to be the alpha in certain areas.
I also think this whole relationship is publicity driven right now and may not make it anywhere, but Ben dating JGar personality clones isn't going to do him any good.
This is fascinating. Why should she "run the show?" This is a model of a healthy relationship?? These themes emerge when talking about her because they are her issues...control, discipline, the sharing of power. She struggles with mutuality. She probably won't tolerate him long term. That's why it's a poor choice. These are not adolescents, whose personalities are just being formed. They are midlife adults/parents with complex relationship histories and entrenched personality dynamics...he cannot just "let the arrogance go"...it's part of who he is...his personality. You know Jennifer and Ben were engaged to each other at the ages of 33 and 30 respectively right? How is that adolescence. They were grown adults who were perfectly happy in their choice of each other and have found their way back to that same level of happiness and respect.
People forget because they currently are in such incredible shape and look young but they are basically 50.
When he cheated on her with a stripper and then dumped her just before the wedding? That time? She is so thirsty.
What stripper? He got Jen Garner pregnant and wedded, Jen Lopez engaged, and had a stripper relationship in under a year?

I wasn't suggesting they were adolescents. I was speaking to the idea made in an earlier post that if he only did a or b and let her lead, all would be well. I was just saying it was not nearly simple, as it is in adolescence.

It always makes me baffled that the people who could afford the very best psychological help, j lo and ben affleck, seem the least able to consistently use it. She finally recently copped to "couples counseling" at the end with A Rod, but she has needed so much more than that throughout the past decade. Particularly after her third divorce. It is sad to watch someone struggle so unconsciously. It really is...despite the beauty, money and fame. They are just not psychologically healthy people. Him especially.

By all accounts she calls the shots where the kids are concerned, as she should given the disaster their father has been at times. Have you forgotten they already had to deal with dad's most recent breakup, after Ana had become part of their lives? Hopefully they know not to get attached this time, but it must be confusing for them. Just like it must be very confusing for Jlo's kids.

Oh bull crap. If there is anyone in Hollywood that can navigate this and make it work for her kids, it's Jennifer Garner. Her split with Affleck might have been hard, but not acrimonious. I mean, she successfully navigated her split, divorce, custody with Affleck with almost no drama. He even lived in the guest house. I admit to being a longtime fan of hers, but part of that is her approach to life and her attitude. She finds the most gracious way to manage everything thrown her way and seems to refuse to get bogged down in negativity. And JLo is also not going to want any of that BS.
