If someone is paranoid, they will blame whoever is "in charge" at the moment for their problems. My mom said my dad was doing all kinds of crazy things to her--none of them based on reality. When they divorced, that same angst went toward my sister. When she left the house, the angst was directed at me. She needed a scapegoat for her problems.
I don't know if this is what's happening here; none of us do. But these people saying "we'll stop protesting when Britney asks us to" may have some mental illness of their own if they really think they are in the best position to make this call.
Again, there are mental health experts who understand her condition better than any of us who are offering their expert advice to the courts. These people are also under intense scrutiny, so I don't think they are taking the responsibility lightly.
Isn't Amanda Bynes in a similar situation? Are people protesting for her?
They do. Many of them admit to it online. If you noticed it's not just about Britney, many are calling for severely mentally ill people or mentally disabled people to have total autonomy.
I've noticed this too. As the parent of a mentally ill young adult who reads a lot of the Gen Z Twitter agitators out there (so I learn more about the discourse that adds fuel to a lot of my own kid's dumpster fires), I find the prospect terrifying and extremely dangerous.

What did she say? I think I also heard that Justin spoke out too.Anonymous wrote:I thought it was great Christina Aquilera spoke out. Interesting to look back on how they were pit against each other.
Well if nothing else, he is correct, the court needs to do a full investigation of this situation.Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Now her dad, Jamie Spears, is speaking out and saying he's not the one that's made Britney miserable and in fact hasn't even spoken to her in over 2 years. He is claiming that some other woman who is her conservator over her person has been making all medical decisions and is in charge of her day-to-day life. He also says that he thinks the court should investigate Britney's claims.

Lol. Have we reached the stage where all of the decision makers are gonna start pretending they weren’t involved?
