So glad we took a pass on BFCDS even though it was purportedly the “better” school. It just did t seem that way when we visited. Too much reliance on the campus to sell the school. Murmurs on DCUM made us ask hard questions which went unanswered or poorly so. Dodged a bullet.
Exactly this. It’s so sad to see this happening to the kids, but it has made me feel very thankful we didn’t chose BFCDS.
There are so many great things about Burgundy, but the past 6 months have been awful.

Prediction: sometime between now and then there will some increase in infection rate. Maybe in Alexandria, DC, PG, Virginia overall, somewhere and then October in-person will be cancelled.

Like with tents and outdoor heaters and stuff.

Sort of surprised we haven’t already. It’s mid-September.

To paint either side with a broad brush based on a few pictures -- and, conveniently, to fit your narrative -- is foolish.
This pandemic is going to be here for a while. We need to move forward with our lives in a safe manner. The great thing about Burgundy is that they have a large, outdoor campus to utilize. They spent the summer creating outdoor learning areas and tons of outdoor handwashing stations. Burgundy is uniquely situated to safely learn in person.
Can't wait for October!
Have you seen any outdoor learning areas? I was on campus and it is looking the same as always.
