Subject: Quarantine Confessions (share yours here)
I’ve been listening to a Taylor Swift “The 1” on repeat for a week straight and seriously thinking about how I can weave the phrase “in my defense I have none” or “it would’ve be fun if you would’ve been the one” into a pathetic nostalgic message to my college boyfriend. Somehow this song has made me fall in love with him again (in a completely imagined delusional sense.... haha). I’m a 45 year old mother of teenagers who’s covid regressed.

We are eating so much produce and fruits that it is not even funny! Mainly because DH goes out for grocery once a week and then he panics that we will run out of produce if there is a lockdown!

My teens are so happy at home mainly because they are able to sleep in. They are getting 3 more hours of sleep every day. I am so happy that I don't wake up in the mornings with a pounding heart because we have a long commute. My DH is happy, my kids are happy, I am happy.

Apparently I wash my sheets roughly every 3.5 months. In normal times, I wash my sheet more often, like once a month. I just folded and put away 9 pairs of underwear, but I don't wear any while i'm home, and basically leave my apartment like twice a month these days. To be fair I DO have a lot of pairs of socks (one entire dresser drawer is dedicated just to socks).
When you have to pay to do laundry during a time when a recession is looming, AND you have to share a washer./dryer during a pandemic it seems less risky to keep re-using your shower towel than to touch communal things.
I will not judge you. You are doing what works for you. I remember the days of relying on a laundromat.
We are a family of 4 and I end up doing a load of laundry every day, if not two. It helps me to not then deal with a mountain of laundry to wash and put away.

Same. I have no FOMO. People I know are getting together but I don't and I have elderly parents that live near me that I check in on, so I have an excuse.
Same here. I also realized that I was keeping up with friendships I don't care too much about. I am back to checking up on parents and siblings and some of my college friends.

Uff me too. And the missing of Thanksgiving will be the icing on the cake. So happy that I am not eating the hideous TG fare. I hate that meal. Hate, hate, hate!

Ditto!!! And most of all I love WFH. Even with kids in remote school. My social anxiety has dropped off significantly.

I'm generally an organic/healthy food type and didn't even eat ramen in college, but discovered (?) how delicious it is over the past few months. I eat it probably every other day, way more than anyone should be ingesting packaged ramen.

I wouldn't count on that. I used to work for a company that did random drug screening, and even pre-covid, they would send the collection kits to our home. It was a while ago, so I don't remember how I returned it, but I remember there was some safeguard on getting someone else to take the test for you.
