Yup life is not fair at all, yet some partents complain some richer kids prep for SAT
I think SAT/ACT/PSAT prep is overrated, otherwise all rich kids would make National Merit Scholars.
The vast majority of kids who make National Merit ARE rich kids. You might want to brush up on your logic.

And it’s 40s and raining today in Boston. I’d take a fun spring snow over cold rain any day. Heck, it’s in the 40s here, and cold again tonight. Yet somehow the college students on the east coast will survive and thrive, just as they will in Michigan.

I love to visit.
Good for your DC. Pomona and Michigan are apples and oranges. Get it if you said NESCACs. And perhaps those are the "other cold schools." DH did tell one of our DCs that he didn't really care about Pomona's ranking. DH said he had never heard of it and probably would not look at a resume from there.
So he's an idiot. Okay.

Michigan has a 97% freshman retention rate. I’m sure she transferred, but in reality does it really matter to anyone?
So you’re sure. Hmmm. Any stock tips you’re sure about? With regard to it mattering…there seems to be a group here who are highly invested in this narrative. I guess we’ll have to wait until May 2023 to see where she graduates.
