I didn't really put it together till years into our relationship. She still had plenty of nice things, a big house, help, vacations, etc., but he would use all of that as leverage against her. If she wanted to know where he was going or questioned him about something, she was an ungrateful bitch who needed to spend less time questioning him and more time trying to make him happy. Eventually he began to treat me the same way. The whole situation was gross, but I will never be with an emotionally abusive person again in the future. As far as I know, the wife is still trading her soul for horses and St. John suits. There's nothing quite like his and her STD testing before your 25th anniversary trip to Nevis!

You were like 19 or 20 when he got married to her, weren't you? 30 something men know that no 19/20 (24) year old KNOWS if they want children or not because late teens/early 20's are barely out of childhood themselves. He married this woman because he wanted HER. He sleeps with YOU because you let him.


Plenty of child-free women on this forum have stated they knew at that age they didn't want kids.

You told us that he's taken you to LA/SF and host of other places, including for business trips. Any DCUM poster with a vicious streak could Google his profession and look up which mental health consultants had testified at trials in the areas where you've traveled together and narrow down a very specific list of people who do that and make presentations to local colleges whilst making the income you describe.

If you don't want him to be "outed" why are you giving such specific personal, financial and professional details?

This particular situation may be totally fake, but there are plenty of real ones. Why women do this to other women, I don't know (at 35 years old). That being said, at 24, my moral compass wasn't nearly so strong as it is now, and by the grace of God this situation didn't present itself to me because I did lots of dumb stuff (although nothing this self-destructive) that I wish I hadn't done. And if this is real, OP, you'll wish you hadn't done it. You are gaining nothing and just putting your own life on hold.
