My sisters have cut them off and I don’t know if the relationship is reparable. They still claim (vocally) they don’t regret their vote. But they are pretty upset about not seeing the kids/grandkids. There seems to be an incredible disconnect between what they voted for and how that is upending my sisters lives.
I hope your sisters have made clear what would need to happen in order for your parents to get back in their good graces. It might help, in their case.
They have not. My parents are not their greatest concern at the moment.
But I have told them. I told them simply expressing regret for their vote given the now obvious outcome, and showing empathy would be enough. My dad was a federal employee for 38 years and they live predominantly of his CSRS pension, so it’s all very hypocritical.

I know, innocent people are being hurt but except for the white woman (with clothes with no holes and a nice looking house) they should know! A farmer who doesn’t know who he’s selling to? Sounds like a bad business person. He deserves this. Or the Venezuelan who thought she would be an exception but was fine with Africans and other Latinos to be deported? Idiot.
I’m not on ticktock where most people are posting. Please share. Yeh, I’m petty.

OMG!
I saw a comedian playing the role of one of the Musk Teenage Coders and this is exactly what he said. "Why do we need you? We have weather apps?" The response is that, "We provide the data for the weather apps..." Then the Teen Coder is "Like, whatever. What do you really do?"
So only meteorologists employed by the feds know how to predict the weather?
Where do you think they receive their data? You people are so damn ignorant.
Only Feds know how to predict the weather?

There were (are?) still a lot of people who think Trump is some kind of business genius. They really thought he was playing four-dimensional chess with the economy. Now that its apparent that he's just a senile old man who never understood the basics of economics, it's FAFO.

Our taxes help fund the weather stations and other apparatuses that collect weather data; meteorologists, in turn, use that data to make their predictions (and farmers, among others, use it to guide their farming activities). If the federal government no longer chooses to fund the data collection, we will likely have to pay a monthly fee (like Netflix) just to get the wether on an app. How do you not know this?
Because these people don't know anything. Scratch a MAGA and all that's under the surface is lies and idiocy.
