No.
You see, there are 219 Republicans and only 211 Democrats in the current House. If the Republicans really wanted to pass something, they can, with NO Democratic support. So, why is it that the Republicans can't even get members of their own party on board with a bill that they did not negotiate with the Democrats? And why should the Democrats support a bill in which that they have zero input?

Mikey is now thinking of taking the original CR bill and breaking it up into three parts. The CR, the disaster aid, and the farm aid. And drop the debt ceiling piece.
So get the aid pieces through....and then shut down the government?

Expecting that (3) the Democrats should vote to pass something that they don't have input on makes no sense. Even as such, it's not clear right now what Musk will formally approve.
This.
Super embarrassing for Johnson. He’s lost the speakership though because Musk-Trump is not pleased.
If he loses it - who do the Rs pick next? And if they can't pick someone, what does that do to certifying the election?
It would be AMAZING if after all his certification shenanigans, Trump ended up not being seated because Rs couldn't agree on a speaker.
I know that's just a #resistance pipe dream but it's a nice one.

It would function better shut down than it has under Trump and Biden since 2017.

Please. We all know who had a fit about the bipartisan CR at the last minute.

You voted for this mess. Elections have consequences.
Nah. I voted for responsible governing. Definitely not this mockery.
Ok, I will rephrase. 98% of you that voted in the 2020 election voted for this mess. Reap what you sow and learn your lesson. No more 80 year old presidents.
This has nothing to do with Biden and everything to do with the GOP "governing"
