Agreed, let's see if JH can pull some national level female coaches then I will be truly impressed.

MYS was forced into FVU. Probably always knew it was better to be master of their own domain instead of 1/3 of a clown show. Now there players have more options MLS NExt, GA, and ECNL, ECNL-R all close by. Took a page out of SYCs book.

By the looks, GA and MLSN seem to be taking the proper steps to take on ecnl in the long term.

First challenge Is to get leagues to align with BY or SY.

MLSN alliance with GA, forming a Tier I and II, and GA possibly forming a GA2 is a direct challenge to the other league.

Soon the question will be, do you want to play for MLSN/GA or do you want to align with ECNL and all the rec leagues.

This analysis all feels very local. What is happening in the rest of the Mid-Atlantic conference for GA and ECNL? What about other conferences? Seems like ECNL might still be the most competitive on the girls’ side in (on average) the short term. Longer term maybe GA surpasses them, but I think that is a 3-4 year timeline minimum unless there are other big shifts happening nationwide that we are not aware of.

Maybe someone like a FCV gets moved to GA2 if they don't perform well in GA next year.

GA2 is not a league, just marketing. You don't get moved to GA2.

Less ECNL teams helps both leagues in NoVa. Less ECNL should facilitate a powerhouse teams coming together at VDA, or Arlington. Union will die slowly without McLean, see BRYC before VYS. YYS and BRYC is not a partnership that will amount to anything we all know this already.

GA may have too many teams in VA now and there will be a restructure but this will help distill the fat from the bone in time. GA wins this folks. ecnl hat here is concerned where to go now with a rising u13

MClean to GA is good. If you aren’t winning anything in ECNL, it’s good to start fresh like SYC did and build on that.

So either GA Mid Atlantic expands to 16 or removes a club and stays at 14, wonder what happens if this news of GA is true.

Yes, they will use that to get into MLSN tier 2 and Ga for girls.
