There are plenty of GDS kids going south of DC - UNC, Emory, Vandy, Morehouse, Alabama.

I was expecting a lot of hate on my first post here, so it's such a pleasant surprise to see people agreeing with me! I'm glad I gave you hope for humanity (big compliment wow!!) and maybe hope for my generation too, there's a lot of people like me (or better) out there so you don't have to worry. If anybody's got some questions about GDS whether it be about the environment there, academics, or college, I'm happy to answer as I've been enjoying my time looking at this thread.

Not true - usually about one a year go - including this year. Don’t know how many apply-get it. Great school!

Except that they do, if you understand statistics. Your example, n=1. Read up on the Harvard case, legacy really helps.

Not sure how helpful the legacy info is if comparing GDS to Sidwell, STA/NCS. Presumably, there are similar percentages of parents at these schools who are alum of top colleges and universities.
