It is not helpful. Where your kid gets in and chooses to go to school will be what it will be no matter where they go to high school. These list are not predictive of your child's outcome. So how is this helpful to you?

You have to look at these list from the standpoint of percentage of total student body. Whitman and Churchill have huge class sizes, so having a spattering of kids going to top schools should be expected. But looking at percentage of total student body matriculating to top schools, you will find that the top private schools blow public schools out of the water.

Huh? SAES has one Harvard so far and only one other Ivy. Sidwell has 2 Harvards so far and over a dozen other Ivy schools (not to mention MIT and Chicago). You’re not really trying to compare are you?

Even Maret that has only posted 31 has 2 Harvards and 5 other Ivies (plus Chicago and other top schools)
