Update on an unpopular strategy that seems to have worked: the Democrats won every race in which the far right candidate they propped up with their ad dollars made it to the general election. In all, the Democrats spent $53 million to boost 13 extremist candidates across the country in their primaries. 6 of the 13 advanced in their primary election, and all 6 lost on Tuesday. Don Bolduc for the Senate in NH and John Gibbs for the House in MI were two of them.

It's bad, but the good news is that a bunch of those are highly competitive seats that the Ds can get back in 2 years.

And if you think those newly-elected GOP Congressmen are going to go along with the Trumpy wackadoodle caucus, you need to consider that they have another election in 2 years.

Yes, the GOP will have a majority, but really in name only.

Hope so. If they think they are going to mess with schools on LI or Westchester they will get eaten by the mama bears. Our kids will be educated. It they think we want to graduate ignoramuses this don't even know who Toni Morrison is, they are in for a surprise.

Oh NO!! Mothers are keeping watch of their kids. We can't have that! They are the school's possession.

The NY metro area has very well funded, very high quality public schools. They drive they real estate market and they require a very significant investment from the community. Joke all you want but they are excellent and they are critical and they will be defended from any maga nonsense.

I saw somewhere that a vote count update was not expected until Friday. California elections are weird and take forever.

Interesting! I wonder why that is. I can see being “stuck” at a relatively high percentage in some of these races, but to be stuck in the 30s days after Election Day must be driving everyone crazy over there.

Yes, the math is highly in Adams favor. It would be a complete weird scenario for Boebert to win at this point.

I saw her restaurant also closed a few month ago, it was a big money loser anyways. Surprised to find out her husband makes 500k a year, so they will be fine. Maybe she can take up a different hobby than politics, would be good for everyone.

Her husband got his gig only after Boebert was elected. It would be interesting to see if he still keeps his job in the event of her loss.

The restaurant she had armed waitresses at?

They say it will be decided (wait for it) AFTER THANKSGIVING.

I don't doubt that this is true at all.
Would that Ohio, Wisconsin, NC, and TX be honest in their districting. The House wouldn't be a problem for Democrats.

I hope Gretchen Whitmer runs for President after Biden’s second term.
