Williamsburg just got a bunch of new cases today that will hit the dashboard in the next day or two. Mask optional seems to be working out brilliantly!

Who cares. It’s still low level transmission. The whole point is the individuals in question and the community can handle these cases. We’re not in total covid panic avoidance anymore. And if you are, mask up with a good mask and call yourself the smartest one in the room and feel smug when others get covid.
Ten days of missed instruction even if you are asymptomatic is not nothing.
It's ten calendar days so less days of missed instruction but agreed that sucks and is THE thing that hangs over my head as a parent at this point in time.
The dashboard actually has so much good news but leave it to people to focus on bad news. 1 case at Wakefield in past 7 days is amazing.

I see this accusation a lot and it doesn't make a ton of sense to me as some major issue. If your kid is symptomatic at school, they send you home with a test and won't let you back until you've tested. Previous, you had to go get your own test. So most families will get caught doing this if it's prevalent.
I know people who have lied about why their kids are out
Probably because the incentives to quarantine are terrible for anyone who works hourly or has to work on site, so of course they lie or cheat on these tests as much as they can get away with.

Me too.
Where are all the cases????
Tons at our APS.
Troll. There are no more than 5 cases at any APS school in the past 7 days.

You assume all cases are reported on that dashboard. They aren’t. We are at nottingham, and there are more than 5 cases and bunch of contacts/friends/siblings awaiting positives.
So in your circle, parents don’t report Covid to the school? Way to go.
If you don’t test you’re never positive 😁
This is an interesting pro-mask thread from a US doctor talking about the effects she is seeing in children and the potential lifelong effects of the disease.
This person has an option to tip her over Venmo in her instagram. But she’s just offering good advice.
I mean okay, your guy was getting disavowed by his university, getting criticized for spreading misinformation, does not seem to have much experience with covid research as an oncologist for pete's sake, but okay this practicing pediatrician who sees kids with covid all the time posts a bunch of links on her instagram including a tip jar, OH NOES THE HORROR.
