Let’s not get smug and complacent. Smugness is entirely reserved for democrats anyway. Keep your fingers and toes crossed and please do what you can to get out the vote!

I will! My post was directed more at how desperate they're becoming.

Wait until we see the Loudoun crowd tomorrow night.

Where in Loudoun will he be? Might try to go!

Did you already buy your tiki torches?

Oh wait - you still have the one you carried in Charlottesville back in 2017, don’t you?

My bad.

Everyone is tired of your race baiting identity politics. Go away. And go Winsome Sears!!!!

Winsome “Token” Sears? She’s not fooling anyone - people can see right through her. And Ayala is going to trounce her handily.

WOW. I love when Democrats show their true, UGLY colors.

He’s serious about taking heat off local school boards by requiring boundary changes to get the right amount of socioeconomic and racial integration in schools. They will have to comply or accreditation and state funding goes bye-bye.

He is even going to make sure that affordable housing gets built where there is none now to help with this.

It’s bold, actually historic and when you read his plan you see he is serious!

These are all the reasons many Virginians will NOT vote for McAuliffe.

"Taking the heat off school boards" -- like the Loudoun County board that covered up and lied about a rape?

"Right amount of integration" -- Um, who decides what the "right amount" is? Do you recall the history of mandatory busing in this country?

The "you must comply" tone that the McAuliffe campaign has used throughout his campaign, particularly when talking to parents, is precisely what is most offensive to many voters.

To say nothing of this week's white supremacist cosplay stunt. . . .

I agree, but pretty sure the PP was being brilliantly facetious!

Can the Loudoun folks who are posting here give us your impressions? I know the county went for Biden in last year’s election. What are your predictions for Tuesday?

Sadly, this is becoming more of an oxymoron every single day.

Teachers' unions are not experts. Teachers unions are out to promote themselves--not the teachers and not the schools, and definitely not the students.

Oh yeah? Where do you teach? In a public school system, or some kind of unaccredited bible-thumper private? I’m betting the latter based on your absurd post. It reads like typical anti-union trash talking points.

Union teachers are the only bulwark standing between society and the brainwashed spawn being raised and indoctrinated by their rightwing loon parents. If it weren’t for public school teachers offsetting all these idiot parents and their lunacy, we’d be up to our eyeballs in school age little fascists. Teachers are typically the only people exposing these kids to Progressive ideals and questioning the nonsense these children are being fed at home.

Assuming you aren't a troll, you are part of the problem. Many parents don't want teachers indoctrinating/pushing political ideologies in a public school classroom.

If you think teaching facts and kindness is a “political ideology” then private is probably a good choice for you.

You're right. My kid goes to a non religious private school in another country (we are from DC but husband is on a temp assignment) and he has a "values" class once a week. It's great actually- they teach basics like honesty, respect, responsibility, perseverance, flexibility, empathy, etc, ALL without some stupid "Progressive" lens that teaches kids to hate each other.

+100
Happy to have my kids taught all of the above - at school and at home. No "equity/racial bias" lens needed.

How can you have those things with inequality? With biases?

According to his website Youngkin's Loudoun county rally is Monday night, Nov 1 at 8:30 at the Loudoun County Fairgrounds.

In other words, the last rally of the campaign will be to stick-it-to-them right in Loudoun County. Think we'll hear a little about schools at that event?

Brilliant, actually.

It didn’t happen for Biden in 2020. Didn’t happen during the California recall. And now it’s not happening for McAulliffe.

I have no desire to attend a rally while my toddler is still unvaccinated. Meanwhile, I quietly make my donations around the country and cast my vote locally.

Keep thinking that rally size means anything. All it tells me is that those not worried about a pandemic support Youngkin. No shocker there.

Vaccinated people, meeting outside, are perfectly fine. But you're welcome to stay holed up in your basement until the end of time. Life will go on without you. Bye!

Nail in the coffin….

“Roanoke College” ?

What is that? Like some kind of hillbilly trade school? I bet they have degree programs in taxidermy or auto shop, lolz!

Totally a credible poll

Tell us you’re not from Virginia without actually telling us you’re not from Virginia.

Omg, I was just about to type the same thing!!

Seriously! How incredibly ignorant can you be, and then think you should be telling Virginians how to vote. McAuliffe has a bunch of smug blow-ins supporting him. This is why it’s a tight race.

Oh, hell no. Talk about desperation.

Well I’m a former DC resident who left for VA. I’m ride or die with Youngkin. Having lived under one party rule in DC, no thanks!!!

That sounds like socialism.

Pretty much. High taxes, horrid schools, cars stolen off my street, 9 month waits for permits to do basic home repairs, rude government officials . . . And on and on. Already thrilled at being a new Virginia resident and will be even more thrilled if Youngkin can, by some miracle, win.

Welcome to VA! Happy to have you here.
