And truly- the greats in this sphere have been around for decades. Dale Carnegie, etc. The basis of truly effective "self help" seems to be rooted in a concern for others, ironically. You look nice FOR OTHERS. You speak well and clearly so that OTHERS can understand and hear you. You make eye contact, you have fresh breath, you keep a tidy home so you can be comfortable having folks over. And it mostly works. Besides the cruise (and how is that doing?) what is her next project? I mean, next substantial project? Or is it going to be swipe ups in perpetuity?

The next big dip may be Tyler. But who will break up with whom? Sass is one heck of an opportunist and the Jen relationship is way too easy for him. He is literally phoning it in. And while that may work great for lots of folks, Jen needs someone in person, in her life. Heck, her whole family and friend group relocated to Austin. But she's content to have this LDR?

Before the age of social media predatory, pompous, try hard blowhards were something you occasionally encountered in the wild and were smart of keep a wide distance from. They were usually guru types or cult leaders or politicians.

Honestly, as someone who hopes she does better (because I hope we all do better, I don’t wish misery on anyone) this is probably the best thing that could happen to her. I thought her divorce was going to be the wake up call but she just leaned into it more heavily. Something is going to have to really break for her to deal with her own shit instead of either blaming it all on other people or monetizing it.

Jen, for those in the back, you are not some sort of elevated seer with all the answers of life casting pearls!!!

You are just a thoroughly common and average person who’s faced thoroughly common and average life challenges.

You aren’t really educated or trained or equipped to be any anything more than a layperson when it comes to life advice or trauma or “recovery”.

There’s no shame in that but you got to know your limitations.

Jen is so rediculous.

I have an amazing boyfriend who cares for and pampers me way too much but I’ve been mentally ill almost all my life and still get trauma responses, anxious and depressed, spirals.

If Jen says she loves Tyler, great. They deserve each other. Being good in a current relationship doesn’t mean that mental health issues automatically disappear. Her mental health struggles don’t invalidate her romantic relationship.

As an aside, I hate the influencer tactic of “hyping” up followers saying shit like “you, yes YOU! YOU are every superlative under the sun!” Do people actually fall for this? Like omg, Jen really believes in me 🥲

Totally agree that he is NOT the boyfriend that “feeling safe and secure in the relationship” is made of…

Another post about how her body keeps having trauma responses and it is NOT because there is anything wrong with her current relationship. All those triggers and fears are because of the past not her present supposedly. This poor lady keeps gaslighting herself. Jen you are freaking out cause this guy just ain’t that into you, no matter how hard you try to convince yourself otherwise. Any wise counselor would tell her if she’s wanting a committed forever relationship probably not dating a confirmed bachelor states away would help.
