Russia's invasion of Ukraine has been a huge win for the US. We've spent about 5 percent of the defense budget on this. And most of that was transferring older weapons systems that were due to be decommissioned regardless. In return, we've seen Russia, our most significant adversary over the past 80 years, get absolutely wrecked on the battlefield. The've lost well more than half of their military capabilities. They've literally lost thousands of tanks. Their casualty count is approximating 300,000. Their economy will be shattered for years. A brain drain has already happened. Russia is completely crippled. There is no coming back from this. Meanwhile, NATO is stronger than ever. Even Finland and Sweden joined. There is no risk at all of Russia invading any other European country. And that is no small thing. Russia's miscalculation has been a gift to the West. Biden has handled this really well.

A waste? The US has contributed only .3% of 1-years GDP.
And for that we’ve basically eliminated at least half of Russian armor that was built up over the last 50+ years. With no loss of American lives! This war has been a complete success for the US regardless of the outcome.
Now continuing the war would make it even more successful, while supporting a democratic country that was invaded. Russia is spending over 1/3 of their entire budget on the war, hundreds of thousands of lives. While we lose no lives and a rounding error on the budget.
I support Ukraine for other reasons but on a purely geopolitical level and long term this has already been a huge win for America.

Dumb out-of-context quote, meaning nothing. Seems to me Ukraine has been highly competent in using HIMARS and other complex weapons systems. Ask any Russian soldier, and he will tell you this - after sh*tting his pants at the mere mention of HIMARS, that is.
It's time for Ukraine to make.a deal with the devil. Despite what Yellen said, we don't have enough money to fund 2 wars and Israel take priority.

This is a little late. Not sure Russia settles for anything short of Odessa now. Had they negotiated before they threw the army away in a "counter-offensive" they would have been in a much better negotiating position. Now Russia knows they are out of men, material and morale.
Ridiculous. Russia does not have Odessa now, why would it be given to them? For that matter, Russia does not even control the Black Sea any longer.
